FAQ’s
How do you afford the travels?
We hope we have a more creative answer for this, but unfortunately this might be a boring one. We both work full-time corporate jobs and we allocate a portion of our income every month as our travel funds. We also work with trusted brands to promote their products and provide photography services to help with this expensive hobby. Because there’s no easy way around and we work very hard to save up for every trip, we appreciate every journey of ours more!
How do you plan your travels?
In general we prefer independent trips over signing up tours with travel agencies, which means we have to do our homework ahead of time. We read lots of reviews on TripAdvisor and we pin out all the stops on Google Maps to help us plan the route; we also take in consideration of many other factors such as weather, outfits, hiking distance, energy level, etc. And from time to time, we also join local day tours and trust a professional guide to show us the best side of a place.
Who designed the website?
The website was proudly designed by Stacy and we use the word “proudly” because Stacy does not have any prior training on website design. Luckily the templates available nowadays have provided a very easy platform for building new websites, tutorials are also widely available to guide on each step of a design, and fortunately that Matt has taken enough stunning photos throughout the years to support the media contents of the website.
What camera(s) do you use?
As convenient as cellphones are nowadays, we don’t think cellphone cameras are capable enough to capture and record every moment of journeys yet. Matt’s camera collection includes a Nikon Z6, a Sony NEX-5, and a GoPro. Depending on the needs of the photo shoot, Matt pairs the cameras with different lenses, but most of our travel photos are taken with Nikon Z6 + NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens.
