Santorini Food Tour
It was not part of our plan to write a Santorini food blog prior to the trip, all focus and excitements before departure was towards on the scenery of the place. So with very little to no expectation, our Santorini dining experience became a pleasant surprise and one that actually enhanced our overall stay so much on this Greek island.
Knowing this is a must do in Santorini, what we didn’t know is how spectacular this experience could be. Most hotels offer similar kinds of breakfast service, where they would deliver a tray of delicious Greek breakfast to your room at requested time. The food served by our hotel was absolutely delightful, the Greek yogurt was spot on, but what made this experience so unreal and unearthly is the ultimate combination of visual and tasting impacts.
Located in the city center of Fira, the restaurant is surrounded by hundreds of shops and is a perfect go to place for some casual but tasty Greek food after a bit of local shopping. After all what’s more appropriate than a seafood platter to jumpstart our island vacation.
Not far from our hotel, we found this restaurant with breathtaking caldera view. Flavorful meals and welcoming service, and if you want an even more memorable experience, book your reservation during sunset time.
Also located on the north side of Fira, the cafe has exquisite breakfast choices and stunning ocean views. The plates are beautifully decorated with flavors matching the irresistible appearances, Instagram perfect on both its food and scenery.
Quick bite before we headed to our sunset cruise, those prawns were absolutely mouthwatering.
All freshly made and cooked in front of us by the crew members, this was a very homestyle dinner that was comfy, casual, yet finger-lickingly good. And finger-licking was not just an adjective here, it was also the proper verb of how we ate this meal, a fully hands-on experience.
A small but uniquely decorated cafe with a rooftop in Oia and featuring one of our favorite food in the world - crepes! A place where we will dream to come back one day.
