A Weekend in Temecula

We needed a weekend getaway that is easy, relaxing, and fun, so Temecula came to mind. With only about an hour drive, we arrived in this wine country in Southern California and kicked off a weekend of simple pleasure.

Old Town Temecula

Our first stop of our weekend getaway is Old Town Temecula, a historic area in Temecula Valley that is so characteristic and charming. With plenty street parking available on both sides of the road, this town square can easily and casually be explored on foot. Stop by at a few antique shops or check out some of the local architectures, we loved all the small things here that make it a really pleasant place to hang out.

Exploring Local Wineries

Believe it or not, there’s actually more than just wine tasting that’s attractive to us when it comes to these wineries. They are often very beautifully built on top of the hills, and the combination of exquisite architectures and layers of vineyards just click for us!

We also stopped by at a vineyard to take a closer look at the plants here, diligently cultivated in a super neat order, seemed to us that this view is full of anticipation and excitement.

Staying At A Winery Resort

Though we’ve been to Temecula several times before, this was our first time staying at a local winery resort. The resort we stayed at is called Carter Estate Winery & Resort, and we chose it for one obvious reason - the private balcony with that lovely vineyard view right outside of our room. After all, this exact moment is what we have been waiting for in this trip: gorgeous view, refined wine, and stunning sunset.

Wine Tasting

Last but not least, it’s obviously not a complete Temecula trip without some good wine tastings and food pairing. And what we absolutely loved about our time here is that you don’t have to be an expert in wine to appreciate any of this, sitting here with this beautiful weather and scene, the glass of wine on hand is just like a delicious cherry on top.

*Please drink responsibly
