A Romantic Camping Getaway at Joshua Tree Acres

Social media nowadays makes it so easy to share and discover interesting places, and ever since we came across this Airbnb campsite from Instagram, we immediately fell in love with those Airstreams and booked our stay here almost half a year in advance. Needless to say, the amount of excitement made the wait seemed super long, but the experience in the end was worth everything!

There are a total of 4 Airstreams onsite at Joshua Tree Acres sharing a private 5 acres of campsite. Our Airstream, 1964 Sound of Silence, sits next to a giant Joshua Tree and near an enormous desert garden on the back.

Right outside of the Airstream there is a deck area built for additional activity space, well decorated with desert plants, outdoor furniture, hammock chairs, hanging string lights, etc. Perfect for picnics during the day and stargazing at night, or a simple cup of coffee while indulging in the sounds of nature.

Inside the Airstream it is similar to a very basic camper, there is a double bed that fits 2 adults intimately but comfortably, a small living area with a mini table and a couch, and lots of windows for natural sunlight to shine through and brighten up the room. Though the original Airstream has a built-in shower, toilet, and sink, they are not intended to be functional anymore and are nicely covered with beautiful room decorations. Tight space, broadened minds.

The garden is nothing like any other gardens we’ve ever seen. In addition to Joshua Trees, Cholla Cacti, and plenty of other desert plants, there are also 2 private bathtubs and a small pool built onsite for some extraordinary fun, and yes all of these are the real deal and not just for show. Who would have imagined an opportunity to bath in the desert, what a genius idea!

A Clubhouse is located at the center of the campsite and served as a communal area for all guests. Inside of it, there is a bathroom with shower, a small kitchen, a beautiful living room with lots of wood accents, as well as a record player and a guitar to add an artistic touch. Outside the clubhouse, you will find all necessities for a BBQ party, picnic, camp fire, etc. All well designed for a relaxed yet fun camping getaway.

Waking up with sunrise is an amazing experience, stargazing before bedtime is just equally incredible. What could be better than finding that child inside of you again, following and trusting nothing but your heart, counting stars and finding constellations like we used to do at young ages; leaving all kinds of pressure and problems behind in the cities, and enjoying a pure moment of childhood happiness..

With place as beautiful as this, we simply just can’t go home without a few photoshoots. Stunning ending to our super romantic and epic camping getaway!
